| A quick add-on to Longs when the skies finally quit spitting rain and snow. Left the Longs descent route at Granite Pass, climbed the summit from the north, then descended S and E to connect with the Battle Mtn. CG trail, which if followed back to the main trail. As elsewhere reported, amazing views! | |

| Hiked all three from the Longs Peak Trailhead. Many marmots were sunning themselves near Granite Pass. A gentle mountain with nice views in all directions. | |

| Took the Longs Peak trail to Granite Pass, then wandered around to the three highest crags near the pass. It was pretty windy above treeline. The weather cooperated: every time clouds rolled in, they would break up. I decided to go to Chasm Lake on the way back. I had attempted Chasm Lake with the CMC in November, 2003, I believe, but we had to turn back. This time I made it to the lake. Lots of people on the trails this day. | |

| Visited this summit before entering the boulderfield, then keyhole and climbing Storm Peak. The descent was brutal due to a banged up, VERY SWOLLEN KNEE! | |

| Made a great spring snow ascent straight up the steep eastern aspect. A little scrambling once on the ridge led to summit. Perfect day + summit. (nice glissade on way down!) | |

| Nice summit, with a good view. Total ascents = 6. My favorite way to climb Battle is from the Storm Pass Trailhead on the Bear Lake Road. Take the trail up Boulder Brook to the North Longs Peak Trail, then take that trail to timberline. Leave the trail and hike up Battle on the west slopes, then descend down the east side to Storm Pass and hike back to the Storm Pass Trailhead. | |
