Baxter Peak, Katahdin
The true summit of Katahdin is not very peak-shaped, and were it not for the large summit sign you'd be forgiven for thinking South Peak is higher.The east side of the peak is a sheer drop into the Great Basin, so routes to the peak are either from the west/southwest (Hunt Trail or Abol Trail), or the north (Cathedral Ridge or Saddle Trail), or over the Knife Edge from Pamola Peak via South Peak.
