There are two base camp spots below Koskulak's western slopes. The one on the photo, which is in a great location. Lots of sun, meadows and a small river. The other one is a bit closer to the peak, but it's on a moraine and it's cold and quite miserable. The peak on the left is Muztagh Ata and it's SW slopes.
It was great to arrive here to enjoy the silence after some time in the busy BC of Muztagh Ata.

Hasn't voted | A day's travel from the Pakistani border. This shot is from the summer season in July. Now it's bitterly cold in the area.
The typhoon didn't hit the area as far as I know.
