| I have always wanted to hike this since my first visit to the Black Hills in the 1980's. The trail is rocky but very obvious with wood beams used as borders. There is a platform on top with unobstructed views in 360 degrees. The temperature was in the low 80's but could be alot worse if this is done in the summer. Lots of prayer flags all over... | |

| Beautiful views. Hiked this on a visit to Rapid City with my boyfriend. He is a native of the area and had never climbed it. Along the trail there are many prayer flags. | |

| A really remarkable hill. Bear Butte looks to me like someone dumped a huge pile of sand in the middle of the prairie. | |
