Bear Lake Below the SW Aspect of Peak 8,721

The southwest aspect rises over 1,500 feet above Bear Lake. This is the easiest way to this summit, however the terrible substrate composed of scree and loose soil make it a much more difficult hike than it looks. The high point isn't quite visible. August 2008
