Bear Lake
Bear Lake seen from the south face of Swan Peak. The lake is 20 miles long and 8 miles wide. It is located on the east side of the Bear River Range. This has been a cold and snowy winter so most of the lake was frozen

question regarding Bear Lake! For some reason, it looks like it wouldn't be difficult to get lost in this area. But, if a person does their homework before doing their leg-work, then they should be able to navigate with complete confidence. Thank you !

The lake froze this year, but the last couple years we had a drought. This is a big mountain range that is located in two states. There are only a few popular trails here. An example is Naomi Peak which is easy to navigate. They do have to rescue and search for people each year though.
