| Not way too many people on trail and I didn't mind the people at the top. If your looking for solitude, this is not the place to go. If your looking for a nice hike and don't mind seeing other people outdoors, this was a good day. Great views. | |

| Lovely hike, though parking is a rip-off and I wasn't a big fan of the car/bike show at the top. Way too crowded, and seriously I don't need to hear revving engines constantly. Went to the area with the rescued animals afterward, which was very interesting. | |

| It was a nice day, so I went to Bear Mountain after working all night. I liked the mountain in the fall scenery, but man it was too crowded on the summit, and the park. Total rip-off to park there. I would never go again there on a weekend during the fall, summer, or spring. Go there in the winter on a weekday. | |

| Perfect day hike ex-New York City. Hiked in the snow and only saw four other people on the trail. Perfect weather and visibility. | |

| Going over and descending Bear Mountain is usually the highlight of any run on the Harriman/Bear Mountain trails. Excellent trails with fewer crowds during the winter. | |

| One of my first NY peaks. We decided to do it on a freezing day and had a good trip. I have some photos that I am uploading as well. Did Major Welch trail and Schunnemunk Mountain in the same day, makes for a nice day. | |
