Bear Peak, seen from the west. Taken from the summit of South Boulder Peak, June 05, 2005. The West Ridge trail ascends the broken talus area below the summit and winds around to the east side where you scramble the final 50 meters to the summit. The Shadow Canyon trail climbs from the right to the saddle between S. Boulder Peak and Bear Peak, then ascends northeast, to join the West Ridge trail just below the summit block.
