Fun hike!
I climbed this on a Sunday from the busy Mesa trailhead via the Towhee Trail to Shadow Canyon. There were lots of people since it was a nice, not-too-hot day. Great views from the summit.
Fern Canyon Trail from NCAR, was hoping to get to South Boulder as well but storms were rolling in and I needed to go back.

Bear Peak from South Mesa TH
Started up at 10:20am (late start)took the Mesa Trail to Shadow Canyon Trail up past Devils Thumb. Reached a very crowded summit at 12:26pm. Signed registry and back down to my truck at 2:29pm. Sweet!

Bear Peak & Green MntA nice solo 10.5 mile loop that got me both Green Mountain and Bear Peak. Super windy on the summit of Bear.
