Beartooth Butte-- North Ridge

A view from Wyoming into Montana. The peaks in the distance include Castle Rock, Castle, Sky Pilot, Whitetail, and Lonesome. The rocky section on the ridge represents the only non-hiking section on the route from Clay Butte to Beartooth Butte (it can be bypassed if desired, though). In the rocky section, you can find anything from Class 3 to Class 5 (short pitches not worth dragging gear out for) to spice things up a little bit.
