Just thought I would show conditions at the start of Becky route on Liberty Bell this year. 5/31/13. Hard snow to notch and same on the ledge here to start. Tricky in rock shoes. The chimney was 90% ice. We went outside to avoid ice.

What a difference

I was there in early May of this year which it was totally dry on this spot. Fresh snow doesn't stop in later May.
