East Peak  Sucess!

Did the east peak. Easy hike from the trailhead. May conditions in December. No need for snowshoes, just spikes. Stunning views on the summit.

Casual Sunday Hike  Sucess!

Hiked to the east summit with a few less experienced friends. Definitely a good hike for beginners.

great trail  Sucess!

Road was in mostly good shape, with a few potholes to navigate in the last mile or two. Cruised up the trail and enjoyed clear views on top.

Not bad for a bad Weather Day  Sucess!

This was a nice outing with my buddy Don. We should have brought snowshoes which I ended up paying the price by breaking a lot of trail. But in the end it was a decent trip.

New trail  Sucess!

Fun quick summit but smokey this year - agree that the east summit is probably higher!

New trail  Sucess!

Hiked the new trail with my grandma, her husband, and their friende and his dog. Good trail, nothing very steep so great for less experienced or out-of-shape people like I was at the time

Nice views, at least  Sucess!

Less than 2.5 hours round trip- not bad for a guy with pneumonia. Nearly kneed a woman in the face as I rounded a bend in a brushy part of trail as she was peeing on the trail. Seems to me the nice views, easy access, and fast trail invite people who maybe shouldn't be out there.

East Peak. The Highest?  Sucess!

Incredible 360 degree view from the East Peak. While standing on the East Peak it looks like the highest point and it also appears the highest from neighboring Alpine Baldy... but there's no way to know for certain. All of the peaks are definitely very close in elevation.

East Peak Only  Sucess!

Some of the best views I've seen in the Wild Sky Wilderness. Nick and his dog Gunner came along. Since we had planned on another peak, I had not prepared for this area. We had no maps or information about the route with us. Luckily I was able to use my internet phone to get information from Redwic's page. Thanks Redwic.

The Controversy Rages On!!!  Sucess!

FZTE and I both had the day off from work, so we decided to attempt Beckler Peak. After a steep snowy, and sometimes icy, ascent, we reached the East Peak summit within a few hours. The views from the East Peak were SPECTACULAR; truly a hidden gem within the Wild Sky Wilderness. Prior to reaching the East Peak I thought the West Peak was higher, but now I think it is a toss-up between the West Peak and East Peak. Neither of us thought the Middle Peak is the highest. We then decided to head east to Alpine Baldy, and from there we looked towards Beckler Peak and could not determine anything conclusive regarding which highpoint is truly the highest... although from Alpine Baldy, we both thought Beckler Peak's east summit definitely appeared to be the highest with the west summit the second-highest. We had no way to know with complete certainty, however.
