| This is my new "back yard" and I do something with my dogs in the Belknaps 2-3 times per week. Probably the best is to park at the gate and do the Piper-Belknap-Gunstock loop. I have descended the green trail when it is wet and it is definitely not recommended. Always a busy place on the weekend, and gets a lot of use by the locals during the week too. | |

| Nice family hike counting towards our Belknap Mountain and Fire tower lists. I hiked this one with my 7 year old daughter, husband, and sister. We got to go in the firetower cab, and meet the fire warden which was especially memorable for my daughter. | |
