Beowulf, III, WI 4

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Beowulf, III, WI 4
Last Two Pitches/60m and 25m- Eventually you come to a short waterfall step ahead and to the right and to your left is a 60m tall waterfall of WI 4 broken up by a few steps. The steepest section is the first 20 meters or so. You more than likely will be angling back left until you reach the first break. Than approach the 2nd section head on and the final piece angles back left again, until you top out to a broad bench with trees to your left for belay. Beowulf, III, WI 4, North Ghost, March, 2007

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
