Bern Alps giant

Bern Alps giant

This is a strong close-up. Like this from the summit of Piz Tiarms one of Bern Alps 4000-ers looks (could be Finsteraarhorn). August 11th, 2012.

Nice picture..

..but this is definitely the Weisshorn (in the Pennine Alps).

Re: Nice picture..

Hm? I agree that the shape is very similar, but the direction is definitely towards Bern Alps. This mountain was seen just left of Galenstock and Dammastock. I don't know...

And also, Weisshorn is already very far away.

Re: Nice picture..

You're right, the Weisshorn is very far away. But apparently you've a very good camera, because this mountain is 100 % the Weisshorn (Rocky mountain on the left is the Zinalrothorn and on the right - with the hanging glacier - is the Bishorn). This picture offers a pretty good similar view: Weisshorn. Cheers, Jurgen

It looks

quite Himalayan, far off, and very white!
