Besso SW Ridge

Me on the south-west ridge of the Besso after the 'great elevation', august 2006. The photo is taken by my nephew and climbing partner Pieter, on the lead at this part of the ridge.

Voted 10/10	Great to see this picture. I’ve made it. We just did the Besso SW-ridge. We were a bit unfortunate in the descent so we had to make a Bivouac. It was a beautiful tour though, nice and pretty easy climbing in the best scenery you can imagine.

I don't remember looking that hard. Was a fun route though. I guess I must be getting old. To answer the question above about the Weisshorn Besso is off the South spur of Zinal Rothorn so you would have to climb over Blanc de Moming, the Arrete Blac and then the one or two other peaks to get enven near the Weisshorn

mooie actie foto! Besso is een coole berg, zoals hij te zien is vanuit Zinal, ik hoop hem ooit ook eens te doen.

	Hasn't voted	Zeker de moeite waard. Niet een van de hoogste of bekendste bergen, maar qua aanloop, uitzicht, top en drukte echt fantastisch. Vanuit het dal ziet de Besso er prominent uit, verder op weg naar de Grand Mountet hut domineren de bergen in de omgeving en de 'overkant' het uitzicht: Weisshorn, Rothorn, Grand Cornier, Dent Blanche, Ober Gabelhorn
