Between October Sky and Valley Fog
October Blue Sky, White Snow-Capped Peak, Green Rampart Range, Silver Valley Fog Layer.

I took this photo from the deck of my house on the ridge on the very edge of the Black Forest above Gleneagle. This kind of fog layer isn't that common. It was a rare opportunity. The peak in the foreground in front of Pikes Peak is Blodgett Peak (9,423 ft.). The Air Force Academy is under the fog layer. The chapel would be just of the edge of the photo on the righthand side. Much of Gleneagle is directly under the fog layer. Gorgeous morning sun on the Peak.
