Bezy summit

Rare view of the Novy ("new") lava dome atop Bezymianny (see top left). If you were going to just go for the crater rim, you'd be looking at this kind of terrain. To get on to summit dome however you'd want to go more from the east unless you wanted to do some crazy downclimbing into the crater from the rim itself. See this picture for comparison. The dome to the right of centre of the photo is called 'Expedition Dome' and sits some way above the camp site. You could likely get up to the rim from there as well.
