Bezymianny volcano

Volcano in Kluchevskoi group, to the SE of Kamen, at 2882 m high. Mt. St. Helens style eruption in 1956 with subsequent lava dome growth and more recently twice-yearly explosions. Degassing of the active lava dome can be seen in the top right.

nice place

Nice little campground in the middle of nowhere! Looks like a place I wouldn't mind spending a few nights at.

Make sure you check with the Institute for Volcanology and Seismology in P-K for the current and projected state of activity. This spot has been an avalanche chute in the past.
