| Following the Big Baldy ridgeline through miles of burnt forest made this one a hard earned prize. Thank goodness for Buck Lake which seemed like an oasis in the middle of the vast destruction that the somewhat recent fires. My companion was SP member Dennis Poulin and we were both happy to have this one under our belt when we finally got back to our vehicle at the TH but yet, it was a great adventure at the same time. Big Baldy is very unique and will always remain a special summit. This is not one I'd want to do solo and I really appreciated having Dennis on this one. |
