Got to the Old Hyndman saddle in 3.5 hours. Dropped my pack and made the quick side trip to Big Basin Peak. During that I realized I came with the false notion that I couldn't make a (lollipop) loop with the 2 peaks. After Old Hyndman I climbed up and over point 11442 a second time just so I could descend via the east side of Big Basin and experience more of the area.
Went up from East Fork, had quite the time navigating the ridgeline at the top. Felt out of it at the summit and struggled back to the truck. A good solid scramble and amazing views, well worth it.
I tried this one a few years ago but circumstances prevented me from getting up. I finally returned and got to the top. The view from the top is something else, but that's the case with any of the peaks around Big Basin. Went up via Hyndman Creek for a long 6-ish miles and 4500' gain.

Fun scramble
The south ridge is a pretty fun scramble. Quick trip if you can drive to the end of the east fork road. As sawtooth Sean notes, no summit register right now. Very good views of wildhorse and the major pioneer peaks

From the East
East Fork up to the correct notch to get on the south ridge. Followed the exposed ridge to the summit. East walk off SW ridge and onto McINtyre. Cloudy 65F. NO summit register.

From Big Basin
Backpacked into the basin for a few days. Climbed the ridge to point between Old Hyndman and Big Basin then followed the ridge to the summit. Nice stormy day but had a great climb. There are lot's of interesting routes to be discovered in this area.

Climbed on a beautiful fall day with SuperDave and IdahoSummits. Saw one mountain goat, had an exciting scramble to the summit, and climbed Little Matterhorn on the way down-great day.
