The drive was simple- searching 'Big Black Dome' on the Google Maps app brought me right to the end of the doubletrack at 8700'. There's actually a very aggressive track up to 9300', but even if you brought a toy that could handle it the public road ends at the fence. Car to summit took me 90 minutes.

I think this peak is a great option for a first timer wanting to climb a 11000ft peak in Idaho. The trailhead is pretty high (8000ft or so), there is a trail part way up and the rock is pretty stable all the way to the summit. Certainly the easiest 11000ft Idaho peak I have been up so far
