Good to get out on the last day of the year and add another peak to SP too. Good panoramas.

Thanks.

I'd never been to Du Pont State Forest. Nice area with an amazing array of kickass waterfalls. Recently acquired from the Du Pont corporation, it's loaded with trails--and the state of NC, for some reason, is lavishing a lot of money maintaining and improving those trails--I can't figure out why they're spending so much money there and ignoring the trail systems in other parks--for instance, South Mountains State Park has been closed for almost a year due to problems with roads and trail washouts. They're FINALLY going to reopen it on Monday.

Good page, an active link to weather conditions would be a nice addition.

Where can I get an active weather link?

A good place is NOAA.gov and look under a city close to your peak. Another good place is timetemperature.com. That site will give you what you need to do to have the forecast into your page. The SP FAQ's under number 8 tells how to make an active link.

Not as busy as I'd have liked. My wife got a really horrible lung infection and I had to stay close at hand. She was finally well enough for me to go hiking on the last day of the year.
