Voted 10/10 | I still think this is a grizzly bear. I have seen countless black bears, and none were this color or size. Well, the butt seems higher than the shoulders, but she is walking with her nose to the ground sniffing. Anyway, who knows! | | Posted May 27, 2012 10:53 am |

Hasn't voted | Grizzlies in the Salish Range are supposedly a rarity but you know how that goes. Because of the way she is facing it is hard to tell for sure. The color is similar to another black bear in Steve's gallery and isn't all that uncommon in black bears. I have wanted to get back over to that area to see if we could see how her cubs have grown in a year.
