Overnight via Hardscrabble  Sucess!

Rode / pushed the bike up the gated road to the Hardscrabble route which was pretty overgrown up to Lower Hardscrabble Lake where I camped. Summited in the morning and hiked / rode out. Trip report here.

Hardscrabble  Sucess!

It was nice to finally get this peak after looking at it for years. ~25 miles, mostly on bikes, 11.5 hours car to car.

North slope from Gold Lake  Sucess!

Over a decade ago, date listed is a wild guess. Via ski, and as suggested on the main page, the north slope is indeed a great ski run, purrrrfect. Shared the summit in the sun with a ptarmigan, arms-length away, we sat there eyeballing each other for an hour. The bird won the staredown, I left him in peace, still lounging on the topmost rock.

Via Hardscrabble

Traversed Big Snow Mtn just below the summit en route from Lower Hardscrabble Lk to Big Snow Lk. Had planned to tag the summit but incoming rain and clouds prompted us to keep moving.

Route Climbed: North Slope/Myrtle Lake  Sucess!

Awesome weather. Route above talus above Myrtle Lake was quite brushy. Fun climb, great views.

Hardscrabble route  Sucess!

Kinda cloudy- lots of snow. Ben jumped in lower lake from the ice!
Also did the tribute scramble via the same route 8-13-06. Very, very awesome experience.
Climb on, Ed.
