tiltdid you use the "tilt" function (or something like that) to enhance this photo? I like it either way. Nice shot.

Re: tiltHey! Thanks for the compliment on the picture. I didn't use any functions other than adjusting the brightness and adding quite a bit of contrast. The strange effect of the picture was just from this 28-200mm lens that I had bought used for my old Minolta XG-1, before I made the leap to digital. When I zoomed that lens all the way in, it always had a funny effect around the edges. I like it in this picture though... it seems like it draws more attention to the bikers and how miniscule they are compared to their surroundings. Thanks again!

Great EffectI think the best outdoor shots capture individuals in the outdoors, but also the scale of the surroundings. This one certainly does that. Makes me wanna pack up and head out to Moab .... big time!

Re: Great EffectI know... I'm missing Moab too! I was quite lucky to get this picture. I had to get my camera out as quickly as possible to not miss the moment as the bikers went around the corner. I recently showed this to someone in the NPS to see if they had any interest in using it in any literature for Canyonlands or for the NPS in general. I was informed they had several pictures of a similar theme. I look at many pictures and haven't seen a lot with this specific subject - so I was surprised to hear that. I'm going to try a few other avenues to see if there might be any interest in this picture. :)
