| A very enjoyable climb up the ridge from Bolton Brown with Vitaliy, but for the exhaustion setting in near the end of a long day. It was a battle getting out to the car in the dark, but a fun outing overall. | |

| Had originally hoped to traverse over to Mt. Bolton Brown and on to Tinemaha, a la Bob, but a late start (owing to it being Mother's Day and my needing to call my Mum) made those plans impractical. The climb wasn't as sloggy as I expected--I cramponed up frozen snow from the glaciers above Birch Lake, and descended via the SW Ridge (a little class 3 by keeping to the crest of the ridge) to the saddle below. Surprised to find some ice in the narrow chute below this pass! | |

| Spring snow turned this scree slog into a swell snow climb. The traverse over to The Thumb was not as swell due to the soft snow. | |
