Bitterroot Penstemon (Penstemon flavescens)
Bitterroot penstemon is endemic to high elevation subalpine habitats of north central Idaho and adjacent Montana. Its range coincides more or less with the area of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. This picture was taken on the upper south slope of Fenn Mountain. July 2008
