Black ICE

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Black ICE
This Serac called to us as we prepared to leave. So we set an anchor and lowered in to the depths to climb back toward the light. The glacier was getting a bit angry by this time and was making some deep moans which were often followed by the sound of falling ice tumbling into a watery pool somewhere deep below us. A bit unnerving to a climber down in a serac.
