Black Mountain from the North

Looking back on Black Mountain from below Targhee Pass. This view shows the flats east of the north ridge and the steep northeast face. There are a handful of runs up through those rocks to the summit. Or one can continue around to the left and go up the gentler east slope through the whitebark pine. June 2009
