| I used this route for a descent from climbing the North Face on Sneffels. I am not particularly fond of loose steep scree present on the steep section from Lavender Col into Blaine Basin. The views of north face of Sneffels are spectacular, and you definitively will have more solitude in this area. My favorite route up Sneffels is Southwest Ridge. | |

| This was a wonderful snow climb but the snow was extremely soft and plentiful this time of year. Had one little slip and it was difficult to arrest- FYI. | |
