I've hiked Blue Mt. a couple times; once was many years ago, and once in early October 2004. Yeah, it's short and easy, but the views from the top are well worth it. It's the highest peak in the immediate area, with lakes and low mountains all around, and the High Peaks in plain sight. Loved it! I plan to go back in winter some time for a long-distance view of the High Peaks in winter.

Nice DayNice hike just south of Long Lake. Easy to find also. Took us about 5 hours round trip. Really nice day and great views.
