Nope, that's mine. I drove out this year. I love my Xterra.

Ms Simon recommends one of these: http://www.summitpost.org/getting-there/721555

Alternately, we also have BAT - Big Ass Truck, a 2006 F250 PowerStroke Diesel with a monster lift kit. :D Poor turning radius, though. ;)

Cheers,
Sarah

I like my Xterra because I can sleep in it. That doesn't work in a Jeep, though I'd like to have a Rubicon. My Xterra's done quite nicely on a lot of your roads, thank you.

Hey, Mr. Smarty Pants, I have a 4-door Rubi and it's a hotel on wheels. :) I'm 5' 8" and have room to spare for gear, etc. I'm just bustin on ya...because, Jeepers, Xterra folks and FJ Cruisers are all supposed to do this, I guess.

PS: If you have any Rubicon questions, I'm happy to answer what I can. I'm not a motor head and can't answer your mechanical questions (so don't ask me about my Dana 44 rear axel, etc.) but I can tell you about how it handles off-road, the magic of the factory lockers, the bomber low-end, etc.

Cool. I forgot about the newer 4-door Jeeps, which I hear have more room in back than the Xterra and the FJ while not sacrificing much performance. I propose that I test-drive your Rubicon the next time I'm in Colorado. ;-)

Bob,

I would honestly be happy to let you test-drive Reba the Rubicon if you're ever in the area. Just yesterday, because I have a broken tailbone and it's painful to drive, my climbing partner had to take over some of the driving. When we hit dirt, his eyes lit up (he's actually a die-hard Jeeper with a fully-customized rig) and he asks: Can I take us to the pass (Hancock Pass in the Sawatch)? I knew he was qualified and said: SURE! He was smiling like a 12-year old on Christmas morning!

So - get your assets back to Colorado. We'll take you and your wife out for beers, then head to the mountains and you can test drive my Rubicon and we'll summit some peaks.

PS: Even with the 4-doors, my turning radius is still almost creepy amazing.

Deal!

And I got over Hancock Pass in my Xterra, no problem. :-)
