Bob sitting on what is the highest point on Lassen Peak. Within a half hour, the summit area was swarming with people. We decided to go down before the summit collapsed from the sheer weight of all those others.

Hasn't voted | Well, they came up the trail in all shapes and sizes. From toddlers to AARP members. It was hot and many had no water, no sunscreen, no nothing. Hasn't voted | DEAN: Between you, Bob & Dennis... you guys REALLY crack me up - what a GREAT TRIO! I climbed Lassen in October of 1989. Was hoping I might avoid the crowds - BUT, not the case. Saw a large group OF PEOPLE arriving around noontime. Guess a few of them were a bit ROTUND. Anyway, I went on to LAVA BEDS after that - far less crowds up there!
