Bobtail BM
After work I climbed Bobtail BM. The road to Jones Pass is still closed, so I climbed from the basin below. Unfortunately I didn't bring an ice axe and getting up the cornice was dicey in Hokas, but I found an alternate way down.
With Jamie, up the Jones Pass road then the south ridge. Continued on the CDT until the base of "soft ranked" PT 12316 and then down. Found an old road/trail in the the trees back to the Jones Pass Road.

Hiked Jones Pass Road
Started hiking from the parking lot near Henderson mine. Many vehicles at Jones Pass, I was the only one to hike Bobtail BM. Had the summit to myself. Headed down the steep slopes on the other side of the peak.

Nice loop
Did a nice loop with Vasuez Peak and 12316'.

From Jones Pass Rd. via Pt 12673
The day was cold, but clear. (Better than the following day, which was miserable...) We had a large team of a dozen of us and each made the summit. The views from the Divide are just non-stop up here. The winds were tolerable, by Continental Divide standards.
