With Jon, Erin, Igor, Stacy, and Scott up the standard HPS route. Continued up the ridge line towards Sunday Peak but turned back due to snow, obstacles, speed, time of day, and newbies.
Bohna Peak (6795’) is located on the Greenhorn summit and the trailhead is at the Cedar Creek Campgrounds. The total trip is about 4 miles, and the elevation gain is 2000 feet or more. On this day I started at 5:35 in the morning and it was dark for the 1st hour. I reached the summit in two hours but I wanted to meet my friends so I bailed down the mountain through the bushes and I was in the car at 8:20.
