| jtellis | First NV peak ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 8, 2011 | |
| First peak since moving to Vegas. Lots of beautiful views, and I got to see wild horses for the first time. I realized I need to get used to this altitude though. Looking forward to my next hike. | ||

| BigPond1 | Fresh Tracks ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 11, 2010 | |
| Climbed this peak on Veteran's Day, plenty of fresh snow on the trail, I made the only footprints visible. Around 2" of snow at the trailhead, with as much as 6" at the upper elevations. Slightly tricky due to the snow, but I still managed to make it to the summit. Lost that trail twice near the peak, but was able to gauge where the peak was so I just blazed a trail. Partially lost my tracks on the way back due to gusty winds, but managed to find my way back to the saddle. I was the only person who hiked there that day! | ||

| Hiked this one with Steven Stembridge, Gonzalo Domenech, and Kody Seastrunk. Perfect weather. Ed, Kody's dad, made it 80% of the way up but turned around to follow us when we were headed down. | ||

| ShinLV | Blistlecone-Bonanza ![]() Date Climbed: May 2, 2009 | |
| Started hiking from upper Blistlecone trail head. First 2.5 - 3 miles had lots of snow on the trail especially on Bonanza trail. I bag the McFarland peak on the way back to the trail head. 21.5 mile, 6,300 ft total elevation gain. about 11 hours to complete. Bonanza & McFarland Peak from Lee Canyon | ||

| CheesySciFi | Bonanza! ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 26, 2008 | |
| Hiked up a relentless series of switchbacks on the Bonanza Trail. Saw the horsies on the way in and heard the coyotes howling as sunset approached on the descent. A fine workout for someone who lives at an elevation of about 300 feet! | ||

| Day Hiker | Bonanza Trailhead ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 2, 2008 | |
| Carried DayHikerJr (age 12 months) to the top. The sign at the trailhead said 4 miles, but it was really 4.7. No big deal, unless you're carrying a 20-pound baby! | ||

| Anya Jingle | Bonanza Peak to McFarland Peak Traverse ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 7, 2007 | |
| The traverse of the ridge between Bonanza Peak and McFarland Peak was the best part of the hike. Great vistas and good scrambling on very solid rock. We descended via North Canyon and went to look for elk on the way back to Bonanza trailhead, but only saw their prints. It came down to about 12 miles with 4000+ feet of elevation gain. | ||
