Hi TM, I was up on Borah On September 1st 08' in a snowstorm. It was hard to see but we definetly stood were you took this shot. We turned around at 11,400 ft I didn't think we made Chicken out ridge. I may be wrong. Just want to hear your take on this.

I've heard people use the name "Chicken Out Ridge" to refer only to the most intimidating parts of the scramble, and I've also heard the name used to reference the entire SW ridge of Borah. If you never got to the point where you had to use your hands to traverse and do some downclimbing, you probably didn't reach the point on the ridge where some people "chicken out." There are also some good photos attached to the Borah Peak page. Hope that helps.
