| First hike for me with the Rocky Mountaineers. Fun hike with some nice folks to just below point 9,442. Due to the deteriorating weather at that point, the trip leader made the wise decision to retreat with the rest of the crew while I, hoping to not seem rude, decided to continue to the top with my dogs over incredibly slippery rock and poor visibility. Ended up being not much of a view on top, but glad I continued anyway (guess I'll have to go back!). Caught the rest of the group on the way down and we all went to Perkins in Hamilton for some hot beverages. | |

| After turning back in January I wanted another shot at this on snow and got one today. The route I took is totally free of avalanche hazard. A nice day, of some sun, wind, snow and burnt calories. GREAT ski back down. | |

| I do remember being fairly well wiped at the end of the day. Also, strange listening to a helicopter all day working a timber operation in a drainage to the south. | |

| 16sep09 - Beginning from the Boulder Point Trailhead, I climbed all 3 summits of Boulder Peak. It turns out the best route to the middle (and highest) summit is to climb the east summit first then follow the ridge of aretes westward. 24aug06 - A fairly long day of 11.5 miles and over 5,100' of elevation gain. Still, it was very satisfying. I especially enjoyed the open forest of whitebark pine between Boulder Point and Peak. | |
