Route Climbed: Trail Canyon Date Climbed: 6-6-200  Sucess!

Great hike. We started about 6:30 am and reached the peak before 9:00 am. It's well worth the trek over to Montgomery Peak, which feels more like a peak than Boundary. Camping is very limited. You are on a slope with very few level spots. Stream nearby provides plenty of water.

Route Climbed: Queen Canyon Mine Route Date Climbed: 11-02-01  Sucess!

Definitely one of the nicest climbs/hikes I have done! After much reading on the subject, I decided to climb this peak via the Queen Canyon route. Got to the trailhead at about 12:30 PM, got my gear together, then headed out right at about 1:00 PM. The route is approximately 9 miles round-trip, so didn't make it back to my car until about 9:30 PM that evening (did it all as a "day trip," even though half of it was in the dark!). Made the summit in about 4.5 hours; right at nearly pitch black! Signed the register, took a GPS reading, snapped some photos, then headed back down. Saw not another soul on the mountain the entire time I was there! Definitely an awesome trip, especially in the dark!

Route Climbed: Trail Canyon, left fork Date Climbed: 5/28/2001  Sucess!

Camped just up the trail from the parking area with my 15 year old son Dan. We saw many cars leaving as we were coming in so we expected this to be a very busy place. (I had climbed the mountain many years before on the 4th of July and was the only person there). Pleasent surprise! We saw only 1 other person. Only a little snow near the top (mild winter). Dan and I ran through the scree all the way down from the summit ridge to the canyon bottom. Great fun for me. Dan's first "real" mountian.
