The entire summit area of Pinnacle Butte NE consists of these formations, and they make for interesting route-finding and scrambling as well as outstanding scenery. This one is helping frame a view west to one of the many jagged pinnacles of the Pinnacle Buttes massif. Climbing this pinnacle would provide a dramatic vantage point, but there is no way I would trust my life to this rock with that kind of exposure.
