Saw this sign while driving across the Owyhee Desert towards Bruneau Canyon, Idaho. Mountain Home AFB is nearby and they drop dummy bombs here for practice. June 2002

I took a photo of this sign, too

...back in 1999 after a trip to Bruneau Dunes. Very humbling, isn't it?

Yes, it bothered me a bit wondering what might fall out of the sky and knowing I would never see it coming.

Falling objects

It's the risk that makes it fun. Imagine being killed by a "dummy" bomb. Folks reading your obituary, would think you were a "dummy" for being there. I really like your images and your sense of humor.

Shouldn't this sign read "Road Closed." That's a good sign, it made me giggle.
