| StumblingBear | High Enough ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 3, 2007 | |
| I had a friend that grew up on the Miccosukee Indian Reservation in "The Glades", he use to say going to this part of Florida "goin to the mountains", its all a matter of perspective. Its nice they thought to make a nice park out of what most consider nothing. I bet a lot of florida residents use oxygen on the climb too. | ||

| Reached this one in the dark, so I didn't really get to enjoy any scenery. Basically just took a few pictures and then left. Nice way to bring in the new year, with another highpoint. | ||

| Redwic | Highpointing In The Dark!!! ![]() Date Climbed: Dec 26, 2007 | |
| This was the third State Highpoint that I reached in one day. Actually, I reached this one after dark. Good weather, very nice park. Side-Note: I personally didn't have any problems, but this region of the country is HEAVILY policed. Don't speed. | ||

| Me and Spanky (my dog) bivouacked in Destin, FL the night before our assault on Britton Hill. On the bitter cold (30's) morning of 1/29/07 we successfully summited the beast. Check out http://50summits.blogspot.com for all the details. | ||

| dziadzi | Mount Ripoff Date Climbed: Jul 23, 2006 | |
| On a trip I told my Grandkids we would climb the highest mountain in Florida. Expecting a snow capped peak, they called it a rip off as we walked to 20 steps from the car to the high point marker. On our trip back home, we stopped again at Mount Ripoff and they enjoyed the hiking trail in the woods. | ||

| Joseph Claghorn | Route Climbed: Drive-up Date Climbed: 19 December 2004 ![]() | |
| Swung by here on my way back to Atlanta from New Orleans with my girlfriend and brother. My girlfriend wasn't too pleased with the detour, and refused to get out of the car to walk the 10 yards to the highpoint. I guess highpointing isn't for everyone. | ||

| koz | Route Climbed: Umm, Alabama couloir? Date Climbed: July 28, 2004 ![]() | |
| Highpoint #33. Rented a minivan & took turns driving from MA (home) to MO-AR-LA-MS-AL-FL & back. Approached with the sun trying to burn off the clouds. Tried to wander around on the trails but the way was blocked by tremendous amounts of incredibly intricate 3-dimensional spider webs the likes of which I have never seen. Unfortunately the images from my camera don't do them justice; condensation on the lens didn't help, either. Oh well, back to MA & to a really surprised car rental agency! | ||
