The 'Figure 8'These are pictures from our October 2009 trip to Bryce Canyon National Park.
We completed The 'Figure 8', which is a combination of the Queens Garden, Navajo Trail, and Peekaboo Loop. We started from Sunset Point and traveled clockwise to Sunrise Point and Queens Garden, then counterclockwise around the Peekaboo Loop, then returning to Sunset Point through Wall Street. The park guide lists this hike as 6.4 miles roundtrip with 1785-ft of vertical gain. After regaining the rim we took in a couple of the overlooks on the scenic drive.
While the overlooks are indeed stunning, venturing down into the canyon was one of the most rewarding hikes I have ever done. Images
