Re: Van camped thereYou are correct. That particular spot is one of my favorites. The view of the mountain with the river in the foreground is great. I am surprised it is not exploited more by photographers. I haven't put any up here on Summitpost but I have four or five interesting ones on my own site.

Re: Van camped thereYeah, have gotten some good shots of Shasta from that spot in summer. Good to see was it's like in winter. Did you get much rain or snow up there last weekend? We got 13 inches on Mt. Tam. It was a pineapple express.
