Cactus in Big Bend

Cactus in Big Bend

There are lots of cacti in Big Bend National Park. The most common is the prickly pear, which always struck me as a wimpy cactus -- too easy to get around the spines to the flesh. Now THIS is a real cactus. January 2010.
