Cahto Peak has a nice gravel road to the summit. Unfortanately the road is gated about a mile from the summit. Cahto Peak is located in northwestern California in Mendocino County, not far from Highway 101. The views from the summit are limited and this isn't one of the prettier places to visit in northern California. The summit is home to several comm towers and buildings making it that much more non-scenic. 4/30/2005
