| The last 4.5 miles of road are rough. High clearance required. 4x4 when wet. Saw a bull moose and a doe strolled over to investigate me at the summit. Near the summit, a hawk flew close above my truck as if it was looking for me to flush some game. I thought about stopping into the USAF Survival School but I decided that they probably don't do tours. | |

| Came in from the East. Didn't remember the road being that bad but roads change. I was stopped by a snowbank fairly high up and then walked the grass slopes to the top where a communications worker was doing his thing. | |

| Worst. Road. Ever. I kept thinking that during the drive up and down the peak. I was thankful nobody else was also driving those roads that day, as the large truck I was using would have had few places to pull over and allow space for another vehicle to pass by. Great views from the summit. In retrospect, I would have preferred to hike and camp on the mountain, if the distance were not so long to do so. | |
