As a start this page is OK, especially beautifull pictures. But for a mountain this big, especially as for most members of SP it is in a remote area, I feel that some more info could be added.
Edit 23-10-2005: Even with the critisism quite clear, for one year nothing has been done on this page, so I downgraded my vote, time for a change!
Edit 9-02-06: Ok, bob, finally we are getting somewhere with this page! No, conditions are quite gruelling and abnormal in Bogda this winter, so I spent spring festival in Beijing, only doing some small stuff, (but still badly re-injuring an old back blessure which will keep me grounded for the next 4-5 months). However, in November we managed a nice FA of Xifeng South peak, which is indeed as difficult as it looks. Be welcome again to Urumqi if you can find the time for some climbing in Bogda: Although they will not sell out tommorow or the day after, lots of FA's are knocked of in Bogda nowadays as the scene here really has gotten into gear.
I have adopted and cleaned up the Camel page so please have another look. Ihave been quite active in the area, just completed 2 FAs mixed routes, one 3-day, long Grade V, this CNY in the area. Still so much there that is unclimbed and it tends to be very technical. I'll post trip reports next week for Banji North's north face.
Did you get out for a winter trip over CNY? I'm still looking to return to Bogada next winter for some FAs
I have just adopted the Camel page and made some initial changes to improve the page. I will be adding more route info and photos. Please have another look.
