Camp basin (back view to notch)

Camp basin (back view to notch)
The back view to the 6300-ft notch that allows access to/from the first traverse basin. This is on the WNW side of Mt. Larrabee. September 2007.

Fred Beckey in his guidebook mentions a way around this spur of Larrabee by descending to 5000 ft. I wouldn't go that way. It will be steep, brushy, duffy, and unpleasant. Stay high with the open ground around the notch.
